We underestimate our ability to push through the hard times.
We are often too caught up in the magnitude of the events that leave us marked, to give ourselves any form of recognition.
We survived.
Appreciating that it is in the moments where we feel that we are the weakest, that we were actively exerting our strength.
Pushing through and moving forward… and eventually, we find ourselves bouncing back.
Not by accident... but in embracing your journey and maximizing on the power of intentional choices.
There is so much clarity and purpose found by pushing through pain. How often do we give ourselves enough credit for how we handled difficulties, past? There are a million and one definitions of strength, yet few acknowledge how the paths they’ve walked showcase their individual strengths, personified. That public and private battles fought that serve to prove that what felt like an ending, was never as final as we perceived it to be.
What is resilience?
The essence of the word can only really be felt by those who have pushed through their own share of adversity.
Having the audacity to hope against the odds and bet on yourself.
Rather than sweep those moments under the rug, or try to erase them from your personal history, maybe it’s time to acknowledge the struggles for the way they shaped who you are. Shaped how you've show up even now, better and more aligned than every before.
There is character that is forged when we are forced to endure.
Be it the vows we make to ourselves, the things we commit to ourselves and to others as a means of exercising the will required to get through.
Not chasing light, but embracing life, for the light and dark that life will inevitably bring.
I have learned to replace my questions with moments of quiet gratitude and recognition. We do not get to choose the storms that life will bring. But we can anchor our energy into what it is that we can control, in our response. Choosing presence rather than escape. Taking the moments day-by-day. Clawing our way through survival and finding that it has given us a better appreciation of life.

We can choose to resent the struggles that life brought to our doorstep or find gratitude in what those lessons have brought to us.
So much of becoming is how we intentionally choose to react, respond, and relive the moments and memories that required strength that we didn’t realize we had within ourselves.
We are more than what we give ourselves credit for we are made up of more than we realize.
Whatever challenges that you are facing, give it an opportunity to introduce you to your limitless potential.
Survive. Endure. Soar.
